We talk about the views at The Irish Eagle often. Of all the positive reviews we have received on our Airbnb and VRBO listings, the majority of them mention the spectacular views.

Most will mention the view from the deck, the hot tub, even the living or game rooms, but one of my favorite places in the home? The master bathroom. You can see the lake, the tv AND the fireplace all from the comfort of this jetted tub! Ledges are perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine or a mug of cocoa.

Though the summer is always a wonderful time to visit, fall provides a stunning wall of color with the changing of the leaves. The shoreline across from our home transforms from a brilliant green to shades of orange, yellow and red.

I highly recommend spending at least one afternoon of your stay enjoying this unique perspective of Dale Hollow and The Irish Eagle.

This summer we’ve upgraded our older hot tub to a brand new 2019 Hot Springs tub. Lounge seating, jets, lights, this thing is amazing! When we installed it, we decided we should upgrade the deck where the hot tub sat so that has all been rebuilt as well.
We put a fresh coat of paint on the lower deck portion that isn’t Trex and freshened the whole place up for summer!

WOW! We replaced the roof this year at the Eagle and it was still running hot. Part of that has always been our life on the lake. We always thought a little of that was just the way the sun hits the roof when it slides over our little peninsula as it warms the water for the small mouth bass. But this summer, the heat inside was just getting… too hot. We replaced the A/C unit and still we were hitting almost 80 inside some days! Unacceptable for our renters!
So we looked at a few options and I thought it might be a good idea to look at our insulation since we hadn’t had that checked in a while.
Wow wow WOW! Classic Insulation of Cookeville came out and told us we had barely ANY insulation left upstairs! We’d been blowing all our air out into nowhere….. for forever! So we blew in the max and ever since? We have been super cool. Like Bruce Willis in Die Hard COOL! (Can insulation enable someone to protect Nakatomi plaza? If it could, this would have!)
